Summary: Similar artists in context browser shows some artists as
available misleadingly (issue caused by case
sensitivity?)
Product: amarok
Version: 1.4.5
Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: ContextBrowser
AssignedTo: amarok-bugs-dist kde org
ReportedBy: krf gmx de
Version: 1.4.5 (using KDE 3.5.6, Gentoo)
Compiler: Target: i686-pc-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.19-gentoo-r5
Steps to reproduce, e.g.:
Have "System of a Down" (notice the lower case "o" and "a") in your "similar artists" \
tab in the context browser. "System of a Down"'s text decoration is normal (no \
italic) which means, I have some tracks of them in my collection. That's true, but \
when I try to drag&drop "System of a Down" from the similar artists tab to my \
playlist nothing happens. I had a look in my collection and noticed that I've tagged \
them with "System Of A Down" (upper case). I changed their artist fields to "System \
of a down" and after that drag&drop from the similar artists tab worked again. On one \
hand the context browser isn't case sensitive (because it shows me that there are \
local files which match the artist) on the other hand it is, because it's not \
possible to drag&drop files. _______________________________________________
