"- "abuse of maintainership powers" - it is the responsibility of the maintainer to \
handle things where no consensus can be reached, which apparently was this case; I \
don't see this as I did it because I could, but because I had to "
Is your decision supported by the usability expert, that is in fact the most capable \
person to make such decision or to say "unacceptable for the default"?
If that is the case your're in the right track, if not, your option and decision such \
always be under the umbrella of the usability expert, and a consensus with the art \
team. If not there will be no real possibility to have a coherent visual experience \
in kde 4, and we will end up to be another Frankenstein looking/feeling/experience \
desktop. Because every decision will depend on a random developer, without the \
necessary coordination with a usability expert team. Without a common view on how it \
should feel/look the desktop. We should be like OS X but open. Or do you think that \
every OS X dev agrees with the looks/feeling of OS X? But OS X works because coherent \
decisions are made.
Acts like yours, makes me think that a good looking and coherent experience will \
never be possible in a free software desktop.
