Your description sounds like the problem is that Kopete is trying to use the obsolete \
SSL version 1 protocol and Google's servers refuse using it (because it's insecure). \
Normally it should be negotiating the SSL version and use at least SSL version 2 (the \
newer TLS standard is preferred if the server supports it, but you'll get away with \
SSLv2). _______________________________________________
