            Bug ID: 347683
           Summary: Check Status unexpected results
           Product: keditbookmarks
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Kubuntu Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: minor
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: konq-bugs@kde.org
          Reporter: trackingaccount439@database9.com

I use the bookmark editor with the Krusader file manager, which allows me to
bookmarks folders in my local file system. The Check Status function produces
no visible result in the GUI. When I examine krbookmarks.xml I see that it ran
a check for the links but the results don't really make sense. Each link to a
file folder produces an error: "XXX is a folder, but a file was expected."

I suggest two changes. First, the Check Status should produce a report or at
least a message. Second, the results should not error for valid links.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Notes:
+ Using Bookmark Editor version 4.14.2, not listed above.
+ These instructions are specific to Krusader. I don't know the file paths for
the bookmark editor if it's used elsewhere.
1.Launch bookmark Editor
2.Create a link to a folder.
3.Right click in the folder containing the link and select "Check Status". Side
note: Selecting the link itself doesn't provide the Check Status menu option.
4. Open ~/.kde/share/apps/krusader/krbookmarks.xml
5. Examine the linkstate tag for the bookmark.

Actual Results:
No report is generated. Results are saved in krbookmarks.xml. Results for valid
links to folders produce an error.

Expected Results:
Check Status should generate a report, a log file, etc and notify the user when
the verification is complete. Valid links should not result in errors.
