Bug ID: 342754
Summary: Auto spellchecking does not work.
Product: konqueror
Version: 4.14.3
Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: konq-bugs@kde.org
Reporter: gkodadek@gmail.com
The auto spellcheck feature is not functioning. I have auto spellcheck enabled
both globally via system settings and for Konqueror specifically. Aspell with
approriate English language dictionaries are installed, and spell checking
works in other applications. On most chat forums the right-click to spellcheck
feature works, but even that is greyed out in the context menu on my Wordpress
blog. In no case does auto spellcheck work. This problem persists whether I am
using KHTML or Webkit.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Enable "Automatic spell checking enabled by default" in Settings > Configure
Spell Checking
2.Mispell a word in a forum post or blog entry
3.
Actual Results:
Mispelled words not underlined. In some cases (wordpress) spellchecking is
greyed out in the context menu as well.
Expected Results:
Mispelled words should be underlined. Spell checking should work from context
menu in all cases.
Running KaOS, but have had same results on Arch, Netrunner, and Chakra.
