Whilst the bug still happens in KDE 4.5.0 beta2 the message has now changed to:

The requested operation could not be completed
Connection to Server Closed Unexpectedly

Description:
Although a connection was established to pixelpipe.com, the connection was
closed at an unexpected point in the communication.

as a response to the error.
Possible Solutions:

I can confirm the website works with Firefox and Google Chromium.
