I am getting a similar error "There appears to be a configuration error. You have \
associated Konqueror with inode/directory, but it can't handle this file type."

It appears to happen most often if I have used the built-in archive extractor.  For a \
recent example:

1. Downloaded SVG 1.1 specification as a .zip archive.
2. Exported .zip by right-clicking within konquerer and selecting "extract here..."
3. Once the file was uncompressed, an attempt to navigate into that directory as a \
user gave a dialog warning listed above.

Using the "File Manager - Super User Mode" application had no problems navigating \
through the directory.  Also the directory can be accessed directory through a \
terminal or through other applications (Mozilla, Opera, etc..)
