well, but there is however room for improvement...
These 2 cases are still flicker-intensive:

- Opening a new Tab by pressing CTRL-T (seems to flicker more than using Location->New Tab)...

- In a newly opened tab (which has the title "about:blank"), enter an url
and press ENTER, and you'll see massive flicker when the tab-width changes
due to the tab-title changing from "about:blank" to the title of the website.
