Does KMail really crash? If yes, then please send us the backtrace. If you are 
using precompiled RPMs from SuSE then you will have to compile at least the 
following packages of the kdenetwork yourself with full debug information 
enabled: mimelib, libkdenetwork, kmail. Without full debug information the 
backtrace will be useless.
