OS/Compiler notes: 

The kmail configuration dialog is too high to fit comletely on a 480 pixel high \
screen. I have a sub-notebook machine with a 1024x480 pixel screen and I had to edit \
my kmail config by hand.

I don't think machines with screens this small are uncommon and they're likely to \
become more common. 

BTW I use kmail on my desktop machine and I'm very happy with it. It lets me read my \
mail with a straightforward and clean interface which doesn't get in my way. (Which \
is a complement, I hope!)
