Klyx has a broken configure script. It checks through the include dirs for a
readable file called "qstyle.h" (line 4081 of configure in klyx-19990903).
This file doesn't seem to exist in Qt 1.44, at least not in RedHat 6.0's
distribution which puts qt includes in /usr/include/qt and libs in /usr/lib
(crazy huh?). So if you have qt-2.* installed, it will try to use the
include files in it instead (ie /usr/local/qt/include) with the 1.44 libs.
Maybe there's a better file to search for which is common to both.
Wade.
PS - klyx is the world's best WP!
