I would investigate. But the problem is, that gdb is nearly not configurable at
all within KDevelop. Can I pass arguments somehow to gdb within KDevelop to
test different parameters?

I also tried to setup my ~/.gdbinit and pass some lines like

directory /abs/path/to/my/project

and this really helped out. KDevelop stopped at breakpoints but really on wrong
lines in code. But at least it stopped again.

Is ~/.gdbinit the only way to configure gdb? The problem is, that this is a
global system setup which works for general gdb and isn't project specific.
