Subject: KNode has broken - cannot find a fix...

Last night, while using KNode, it froze. This is the first time it has ever
done so (am using KDE 2.1.1 under MDK 7.2, with 2.4.4 kernel). Eventually, I
killed it and tried to restart it.

KNode will no longer run. When I run it from the K menu, it appears for about
3 seconds on the task bar, but no window opens; it then disappears without a
trace. If I run it from a terminal window (knode &) no window appears, and it
simply exits without any messages whatsoever.

I have tried removing all of the contents of ~/.kde/share/apps/knode/* and
removing ~/.kde/config/knoderc to see if there was something in error on
startup that was causing it to crash, with no effect. Logging out and then
back in again, and rebooting the system has also had no effect.

Any ideas on where to go from here?

Thanks..
Neal
