ARGH!

This is unrelated to the compile problem I was having earlier.

On ONE of my machines, I've been getting this error from any artsd-using
application:

** Fatal error (exiting) ** bad md5 cookie

It only happens on one machine, so I'm fairly certain it's something wrong
with what I've got set up on this box. Unfortunately, I've had no luck
figuring out where to start looking.

I've been getting this error on this box since the 1.90 beta. I've tried
upgrading various libraries and packages (I'm on a Slackware post-7.1 system)
and can't seem to even get a clue where to look for the cause of the error.

The other two slackware-post-7.1 systems I've had no trouble on, so
I don't know what the problem is. Help?
