Hi,

I just installed Slackware 7.1 and X 4.0.1 (for my GeForce). Now I am
having a couple of strange problems with kdm:

1. any changes to the background made in the kdm login manager are
without effect.

2. when I log in using kdm I get a twm session instead of a kde session,
even though "kde" is selected in the login profile and xinitrc is linked
to xinitrc.kde in /etc/X11/xinit, and I can't find any error messages
at all.

When I log in through the terminal and use startx to start X everything
seems to be fine.

Where can I tell kdm to start up kde, or what is going on here? Any
help would be greatly appreciated.
