I use a direct cvsup update to do the builds, I do not use the snapshots,
they have never worked well for me. Also, when I use cvsup I am getting
the most recent code.

Here is my build procedure (simplified):

1. Delete all kdesource directories
2. Delete all qt-copy code and installs
3. Delete my /opt/kde2 (which takes care of the binaries)
4. Grab a new cvsup checkout of qt-copy
5. Grab a new cvsup of kdesupport, kde-common, kdebase, and kdelibs
6. Compile qt-copy
7. make kdesupport, libs, and base
8. Each package gets installed first to a temp directory to package as a
tar.gz
9. Then installed into the actual /opt/kde2 to use for the rest of the
process and also as a test.
10. Make and package in tar.gz format the rest of the packages.
11. Do a basic check to make sure I got a good build (ie run startkde and
check a bunch of packages on my system)
12. make the rpm's
13. release....

Most of the time this works, except like today for some reason the kdebase
is missing the startkde package. No idea why, it just is.

Remember the copy of qt that KDE works with is the one in the cvs base for
kde. That one has never failed to compile for me.

Does that help?
