Looks interesting, I'll give it a closer look later this week.

FYI I emailed the project maintainer and asked him if he/they need help
building Fedora/RHEL RPMs. (They already have i386 RPMs, but no SRPMs)
I'll let you know if/when I get an answer.

Hmm... maybe someone could gently remind them that the GPL *requires*
them to provide srpm. (:

Nevermind, they *do* have a kxfx.spec, but it's pretty much an
abomination as-is (*), I wouldn't recommend using it.

(*) OK, I wee bit harsh, but it's certainly not clean, and far from
Fedora review standards.

;)
OK let me know when you get the SRPM/RPMs up and around. I'll give'em a
x86_64 test run.

Forgive my ignorance if the answer seems obvious to you; I'm really
trying to learn this. I'm running CentOS 4.4 on AMD64. For the past few
days, I've been getting an update error on the package:

    redhat-artwork-0.124-2.0.el4.kde.x86_64.rpm

According to yum and directly looking, that package is indeed missing
from the location yum checks

    /apt/kde-redhat/redhat/4/x86_64/stable/RPMS/

and is missing from the i386 repository, as well. Oddly, after I built
the package from source and installed it, yum still complained. Yum
quit complaining only after I built the RPM with the ".el4.kde."
specified in the SPEC file. Is this something in yum or in the
dependencies from the repository itself?

All,

Running lastest FC4 packages and the latest stable KDE-redhat packages. Kernel
2.6.17-1.2142 even tried rolling back to prior kernel for giggles.
kernel/udev seem to be acting normal ... fstab gets updated and all that is
required to go command line and mount /media/device. I have no problem with
that *but* I have to support a user base and mails have starting coming in.

Yesterday kdebase-3.5.4-6.0.fc4.kde was released and hoped that would contain
the fix but ... no luck. still broke.

Some other folks posted about mounting issues but all seemed to be referencing
FC5 or RHEL.

Also, I have a user that is running strictly FC4 *no* kde-redhat packages and
my usb stick mounted no problem via the pop-up dialog.

Can anyone relate? Should I tried the testing branch?

Thanks,

True, it (redhat-artwork), samba, and ghostscript have been removed from
the main repo(s). See recent mailing list archives "core/os duplicated
packages".
