Here's an improvement suggestion for the file-list pane. It is based on my experience \
with TextPad on Windows, and is by no means the "right thing" to do. I do, however, \
think it would improve the usefulness of the pane for those of us who like to use the \
keyboard but also like windows-esque editors.

There are three steps:

1. When the file-list page goes from hidden to shown, it should acquire keyboard \
focus. (This seems to be implemented already.)

2. When the file-list pane is active, deselecting "file list" from the "settings" \
menu should NOT bring up the fileselector. Instead, the file list should simply go \
away.

3. The up/down arrow keys should scroll through entries in the list. Currently they \
do this, but unfortunately once you've moved up or down a single entry, focus is \
given back to the main editing pane. Instead, focus should stay with the file-list \
pane until the user hits return. As the user scrolls through the file list, the \
selected file should be brought to the foreground but not given focus.

I may try my hand at implementing this, but I'm completely new to kde and am having \
proplems running ./configure in the kdebase directory...
