I always thought it's a mistake to combine countries with languages.
German is spoken in at least 3 different countries, too, and many
Austrians won't be enthusiastic to be kind of "integreated" via the
flag into Germany again. Same situation with many other languages.
OTOH, there are lots of languages where people never got their own
countries (much as they may strive for it). The language codes are not
the same as the country codes either -- and so on and so on.

I would remove the flags.
