Great... I did some research, wondering teachers I know what do they
need to teach using computers. The suggestions they gave me were
all about the same things I wrote in the previous message. Some teachers
also suggested it could be useful to have something to deny students to open
some programs, a web browser with a built-in filter for the contents, and a
plasmoid (present by default on the student desktop) that shows to the child
what he/she has to do in the current lesson (just a launcher, like Daisy
plasmoid: for example, it could have a line like "Use Kig to draw two
circles,
one passing by the center of the other" and if the student clicks on this
line,
Kig will be opened).
If I don't remember wrong, Aaron started doing something on this project...
we
could extend the discussion to the plasma-devel mailing list.
A plasma theme particular for Plasma Classroom would be wonderful: we have
to work on the appearance, to make it more beautiful and easier possible.
This
is the only way to convince teachers that use Windows to use GNU/Linux/KDE.
