Subject: Bug#30085: HTML files with no filename extension are displayed as plain text
From: jharris () 30doradus ! org
Date: 2001-07-31 20:20:45
[Download RAW message or body]
Package: konqueror
Version: unknown (using KDE 2.2.0 beta1)
Severity: normal
Installed from: Linux-Mandrake 8.0 (Traktopel) - Unsupported
Compiler: gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Linux-Mandrake 8.0 2.96-0.48mdk)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.3-20mdk
OS/Compiler notes:
When a URL is requested which does not end in ".html" or ".htm", the document is \
displayed as plain text even if it is HTML. For example, \
http://www.netflix.com/Default, or the much simpler test pages I made: \
http://www.30doradus.org/Default http://www.30doradus.org/foo
I tried adding "Default" and "foo" to the list of patterns that get interpreted as \
HTML (in the configure window, under File associations, select text/html), but it \
still displays these URLs as unrendered text.
www.netflix.com rendered properly with Konqueror from KDE 2.1.2.
thanks!
