Package: kate
Version: 1.0 (using KDE 2.2.0 \6alpha2)
Severity: normal
Installed from: SuSE
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.2 19991024 (release)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.5
OS/Compiler notes:
This is a very critical bug.
After updating to kde 2.2alpha2 I can't edit files on a ftp location anymore.
I can open it, but when I click on save, nothing happens.
Even the status of the document stays modified after clicking on save.
I've took a look at the sources of katedocument.cpp and did not find any network \
transparency there. I saw that the method writeFile() has been deleted and everything \
done directly in saveFile(). Shouldn't there be somewhere a query, if the opened file \
not local and then call upload() if so?
Would be nice, if you could send me a mail, when the bug has been fixed, so that I \
can try it out immediately.
PS: Thanks for this great editor!
