Subject: Bug#25530: kspread cell editing
From: degs () ceequdee ! com
Date: 2001-05-10 12:06:40
[Download RAW message or body]
Package: kspread
Version: 1.1 (beta1) (using KDE 2.2.0 CVS >=20010503)
Severity: normal
Installed from: compiled sources
Compiler: gcc version egcs-2.91.66 19990314/Linux (egcs-1.1.2 release)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.2-ac28
OS/Compiler notes:
kspread cells behave very strangely when editing: 1) pausing halfway through typing a \
value takes the focus away - very distracting. 2) Double clicking doesn't put the \
insertion point where you expect (i.e. under the cursor) but at the end of the cell, \
then trying to use the cursor left key to move the insertion point instead moves the \
selection a whole cell to the left. The net effect is it is typically easier to \
retype a whole cell than to try and edit the value in place.
