Check /etc/printcap to see if your printer isn't set to "Letter" instead
of A4, or the opposite.
I had this problem for a while too [although ghostview always got it
right, and only kghostview didn't - and kghostview has very recently
been fixed wrt page sizes].
Closing since this isn't a KWord bug anyway (setup problem, or maybe Qt bug).

Package: kword
Version: 0.9 (beta1) (using KDE 2.1.1 )
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: SuSE
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.2 19991024 (release)
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: SuSE 7.0 Kernel 2.4.3

If I print into a ps file and watch it using gs, KDE ps/pdf viewer or any windows ps \
viewer the first text line begins at the top without any margin.

But I can print the file with the expected top margin using simply the lpr command.

This is a problem to me because I have to exhange my documents to other people in the \
windows world in PDF format. A ps2pdf converted file has the same problem with \
missing top margin.
