Stephan,

I indeed stated that it takes 20 minutes untill the desktop crashes, but
that ain't so stable and it is not always.  It's a variable amount of time 
and I really do not know on what it depends.  I've kpager running as well and 
is it a different wallpaper when crashes.  I'll see if I have enough space 
left to compile QT with --enable-debug, I did kdedesktop with --enable-debug 
as I configured kdebase with: ./configure --enable-debug).

I've the timing to 2 minutes, hopefully that gives some info :)

Hi!

I run your setup now and it works for me since
a couple of hours. The only difference I have
are the actual wallpapers. You have on desktop
3 a 29 minute interval for wallpaper change. If
it crashes after > 20 minutes, I would guess it's
the second 11th wallpaper causing problems. That
would be /usr/share/wallpapers/Golf.jpg. 
Please change the interval to see if it crashes
earlier then :)

It's the only chance I see. Oh - and please 
recompile with --enable-debug at least kdesktop
and qt.
