Hi,

I have almost the same problem as the one described in bug report #268. The
modem works very good in the mini Terminal and I even can connect successfully
with minicom to my university. When I try to make a ppp connection with
kppp, the Log window looks like this:

OK
ATZATM1L1


Setting Speaker volume...

and stays there waiting for the OK from the modem that never comes!

I'm using Mandrake 7.2 Beta with the Beta 4 rpm-packages of kde.

Modem: Elsa Microlink 56K USB
NOTICE the USB (perhaps it's important!)
