Subject: Re[2]: __ bug in kmail
Date: Fri, 30 Jun 2000 14:53:24 +0400
From: Sergey Zhitomirsky <szh@7ka.mipt.ru>

Hi Daniel,
First, I tried several times, but was unable to repeat the bug.
Then I realized that I have too much free RAM ( I have 128Mb RAM and no
swap partition); I started several programs until ktop reported , that
60Mb used for "Programs" in it's Memory Usage History.
I started kmail 1.1.50,
ktop reported that kmail used 20Mb - in Memory column , 15MB - in
Resident column, 14Mb in shared column.
then composed new mail , attached mp3 file, which size is 5 Mb ;
after making attachment ktop reported that kmail used
27Mb in Memory column , 21Mb - Resident , 14Mb - Shared.
then pressed the "send" button , kmail crashed,
ktop showed for kmail : 50 Mb - Memory column, 31 Mb - Resident ,
14 Mb - Shared
When receiving e-mail with attached file (size = 6 Mb ) from local inbox,
the same happens - kmail takes 30 Mb more memory & crashes.
The last output to konsole , after making attachment was :
*** KMail got signal 6 (Crashing)
kmail: KCrash: crashing.... crashRecursionCounter = 2
kmail: KCrash: Appname = 0x81d1ef8 apppath = (nil)
Kthemestyle destructor called
Full output :
