Package: panel
Version: 20000531

There is no longer an ability to launch more than one panel. No longer can you
have side panels, top panels etc. Everything is crammed into one bottom panel.

There are several issues with this.

1) You very quickly run out of program icon space, especially by the time you
have a few launcher icons, a pager, some applets atc., etc..

2) You cannot make the panel larger and then have say the program icon bar below
the launcher icons.

3) General panel behaviour was better under kde 1 !, the ability to have, say,
all launcher icons on a bottom panel and all launched program icons on a top
panel was great, especially as the top panel was capable of growing in height to
accomodate more icons.

4) There appears no way of changing the properties of the 'Help' bar / panel
that appears at the top of the screen.

5) There is a lot of wasted real estate on the 'Help' bar.

6) The top most screen icon happily dissappears under the 'Help' bar, given half
a chance.

I am using Mandrake 7.1b, kernel 2.2.15-12mdk and kde 2-200000531-mdk
