Package: kmail Version: 1.1.41 (KDE Almost 2.0 Alpha) Severity: wishlist 1. I would like to see the address book have more fields, i.e. real name, street address, etc. Or better yet, integrate one of the KDE pims as a KPart. 2. I would like auto-completion on the "to:" line. For example, in Outlook, I can send a message to someone by typing just a few characters and then hitting tab. So for example, if I want to send a message to "Don Sanders" and "David Faure", I can type: "do sa; fau" -- and this will work, presuming that "Don Sanders" is the only person in my address book whose name begins with "do sa", and "David Faure" is the only person who's last name begins with "fau". Note that the completion takes place in the background, starting immediately after I hit tab. A few seconds later, the resolved names are printed in the to: line. If the name I type has an @ sign in it, then it will not attempt to match the address book. Also, if a match fails, then it will draw a red squiggle under the name. If there are multiple matches, then it will draw a green squiggle, and you can click on the name to get a popup list of possible matches. (It also shows the same list if you attempt to send without clicking on it.) I find this feature extremely convenient, as it means I can use the address book feature without having to touch the mouse.
