System with KDE version 1.1.2, RedHat Linux 6.1 Cz, Linux release 2.2.12-20

Let my user name be jakub and password MyPassword
If  I log on in KDE (by means of standard KDE login dialog - I am starting
KDE immediately after booting the linux - with name Jakub and password
MyPassword , KDE allows me to work. If I use password MyPasswordblahblah
it also allows me to work...... Login dialog ignores any characters appended
to the password.
