Hi,

> Please try the following:
> a) change the speed of the serial port (Modem tab)
> b) play with the Line Termination setting
> c) play with the two delay settings on the Modem tab

I've tried all three in various combinations.

Changing the port speed doesn't seem to make a difference (though we're
dealing with something that doesn't happen every time anyway). Now that
I'm thrashing it with connects and disconnects it doesn't seem to be
showing "the problem" very often (perhaps one dial in 20), whereas
normally I felt it was 50:50 whether it would fail first time or not.

The Line Termination doesn't seem to affect it. It's set on CR.

The post-init delay setting seems to make a big difference though. The
default is 50. If I put that up to 100, then the ATZ and ATM0L0 come out
together and... as far as I can tell... always.

I can see how this sort of timing might well affect the problem without
it being a bug in kppp per-se; clearly the code is capable of issuing
the M0L0 at the right time sometimes.

Incidentally, the modem is a 28.8 Racal "MDF 34", if that's relevant.

I guess I'm happy this isn't critical, possibly isn't actually a bug!
Sorry for the confusion.

Cheers,
-nick
