Hello,

I have a not so important but boring problem:

After establishing a connection to my ISP using kppp,
the panel and K-Menu do not react any longer.
I can click onto the icons, and the button click animation
will appear, but no application will start.
Checking the Console I get error messages that look like this:

ERROR: KFM is not running
KFM NOT READY
ERROR: KFM is not running
KFM NOT READY
ERROR: KFM is not running
KFM NOT READY
ERROR: KFM is not running
KFM NOT READY
kwm: X_ConfigureWindow(0x28000cf): BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
kwm: X_ConfigureWindow(0x3400080): BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
ERROR: KFM is not running
KFM NOT READY

Also, starting kfm to browse directories will give me the directory tree on
the left panel, but in the right panel, no files are being displayed, instead
the icon in the top right corner suggests heavy activity (reading files ???),
but nothing ever happens and kfm is not usable.

Funny thing is this: The icons on the desktop will still react, though.
Also, after shutting down kppp, everything is back normal and kfm, kpanel
and the items in the K-menu will react again. I have tried to re-install
parts of KDE (mainly the KDE base package) but this error or bug is
still here. About my system: Pentium II 350 Mhz, 64 MB RAM,
ATI Mach64 Rage Pro, distro is SuSE Linux 6.3, kernel 2.2.13 .

Thank you and best regards,
