On my system (FreeBSD-STABLE) certain libraries (in particular, the png
library) are stored in /usr/local/lib. The KDE configure scripts appear
not to look there so I use --with-extra-libs=/usr/local/lib when
configuring KDE packages.

kdesupport/QwSpriteField, however, ignores this with the result that the
link fails since it can't find libpng.

The patch I use:
