Subject: Bug#2351: ALT+key causes ALT to lock
From: Juan Altmayer Pizzorno <juan () altmayer ! com>
Date: 1999-11-28 14:51:02
[Download RAW message or body]
Package: kikbd
Version: 1.1.2-10
Severity: grave
I run the International Keyboard set to switch between german and
english by pressing left alt + left shift. After I press ALT-something
to access an application's menu (say, alt-f for the file menu in
kwrite), pressing shift alone switches the kikbd setting. This
behavior alone continues until alt is pressed again, either by itself
or with a key.
This is on RedHat 6.1, with KDE 1.1.2-10 and self-made kernel 2.2.13.
Attached below is my kikbdrc. I couldn't determine the version of
kikbd itself, so the version in the pseudo-header above is the KDE one.
