Package: kmail Version: 1.0.28 OS: RedHat Linux 5.2 with 2.0.36 kernel, 5.2 libs, and KDE 1.1.2 When someone sends an email message that contains no body but does have an attachment, the attachment apparently becomes the message body and looks like: ÐÏ à¡± á Here is the header info and the 1st line of the base64 encoded attachment from one of these messages: From: Blythe Bruntz To: Steve Grant Subject: Tuition Reimbursement Date: Thu, 28 Oct 1999 13:41:33 -0700 MIME-Version: 1.0 X-Mailer: Internet Mail Service (5.5.2650.21) Content-Type: application/msword; name="Tuition Policy.doc" Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64 Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="Tuition Policy.doc" Status: R X-Status: N 0M8R4KGxGuEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAPgADAP7/CQAGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAABAAAANgAAAAAAAAAA If the message has something in the body, the attachment works like it is siupposed to work. I just upgraded to kde 1.1.2.
