The first time that I use kppp after starting my machine, it connects, ifconfig
gives me a ppp0 device with the appropriate IP, kppp delays a long time in
removing the window that says "Connecting to network" but then I can't connect
to anywhere on the net. On all subsequent phone calls, it works perfectly. If,
on the first attempt I do not use kppp, but the pppd directly, there is no
problem. kppp version: 1.1.1 and 1.1.2 box: 586 with Redhat 5.2, kernel: 2.2.10
(also happened with 2.2.7)
