This is half a kfm problem, half a ark one :)))
The usual idea in KDE is that extensions don't really matter,
since we can determine the file type anyway (with something
very similar to the "file" command).

kfm has to name the file in an unique way - imagine all the people
that can download a 00index.txt at the same time :)
Granted, it should use the ~/.kde dir, instead of /tmp, for that.
Will check in konqueror.

FX : can you make ark not depend on the extension of the archive ?
kio provides support for determining mimetypes, automatically calling
mimemagic when necessary, as you know. :)
