Subject: Bug#2046: Assertion failed in kdvi
From: Ullrich von Bassewitz <uz () musoftware ! de>
Date: 1999-09-26 10:35:57
[Download RAW message or body]
Package: kdvi
Version: 0.4.3
Severity: normal
When calling metafont to create missing fonts, kdvi prints the message:
kpathsea: Running MakeTeXPK cmss12 300 300 1+0/300
mktexpk: Mismatched mode ljfour and resolution 300; ignoring mode.
mktexpk: /var/lib/texmf/pk/cx/public/cm/cmss12.300pk already exists.
kdvi: tex-make.c:51: set_maketex_mag: Assertion `dpi != 0 && bdpi != 0' failed.
Aborted (core dumped)
The kdvi package is a precompiled package from RedHat 6.0. All important
system stuff (libc...) is standard as delivered with RH6.0.
The problem seems to be related with a "resolution = 300" setting in the
Preferences/Fonts page. After changing the resolution to 600, it works without
problems.
