Subject: Bug#1860: KFM Fonts scrambled on web pages
From: James Tappin <sjt () star ! sr ! bham ! ac ! uk>

[Download RAW message or body]
Package: Kfm
Version: 1.167.2.19 (kdebase 1.1.2 pre 3)
When using kfm as a web browser, some font specification tags cause
lower-case text to be rendered in graphics characters. The offending tag of
which I am aware is: <FONT face="terminal, fixed" size=+1>
See for example: http://www.linux.org.uk/diary/
This bug occurred in an earlier version of kfm (I can't find the messages now
-- either in my mail folders or on bugs.kde.org -- but it was either in KDE 1.0
and fixed in KDE 1.1 or in 1.1 and fixed in 1.1.1). I think that the original
reference number was five hundred and something, and it dated from about the
same time as the Linux 2.2.1 release.
Running: solaris 2.6 (sparc), kde 1.1.2pre3, qt 1.44, egcs 1.1.2
however last time it was system-independent.
