Bug Description ---------------------------

Compiling configuration failed. When I run Configure... 
from menu, I obtain message 

CXXFLAGS= -O2 -g3 -Wall -DDEBUG : Command not found.
*** failed ***

If I set the CXXFLAGS manually
(setenv CXXFLAGS '-O2 -g3 -Wall -DDEBUG')
and run configure from terminal, everything is OK


How to repeat the error -------------------

?? I use tcsh. Can it be a cause ??

OS/Distribution	: linux 2.2.10/slackware 4.0
