Package: kscreensaver
Version: as of KDE_1_1_BRANCH from around 25 February 1999

I pulled up the ^K menu and accidentally left it puuled up more than the
delay time that I configured for engaging the screensaver. Coming back to
the computer I noticed that the screensaver was engaged, but the (arrow)
mouse cursor was still visible. Moving the mouse popped up a submenu of
the ^K menu (perhaps I "virtually" focused a popup submenu on the
invisible popped-up ^K menu). Moving the mouse didn't disengage the
screensaver (obviously, the mouse events were trapped by the kpanel's
menu).

I had to LMB-click in order to deactivate the screensaver. And I continued
to work. But the next time the screensaver re-engaged (automatically or by
me clicking on the "lock" button of the kpanel), the screensaver covered
only a very small amount of the screen.

I know this bug was around for a long time and I don't remember people to
have diagnosed it completely. Hope this observation of mine helps.

I'll post the same report to kpanel.
