Sporadically a severe Problem occurs when I attempt to attach a file like this:
- click the paperclip button
- click on the directory where the file is

On some occasions KMail will now produce this error message:
>> ASSERT: "CCnCols" in widgets / qtableview.cpp (1629) <<
The problem is that this message pops up not once but literally
hundreds of times, until the system becomes unmanagable.
The only thing that helps seems to be to switch to a console and kill the KMail
process. 

I hope I got the message text right, I had to jot it down very quickly.

I'm using Suse 6.1, KDE 1.1.1 on a Pentium II.
