Subject: Bug#1637: kdesktop - krootwm
From: Richard Brunner <richard.brunner () vol ! at>

Package: kdebase/krootwm
Version: CVS/1_1/010899

If I am clicking on the desktop with the right mouse button the
"context-menu" (is that the right word???) appears. Then I am clicking
on "new" and on "ftp-url".
Then an input-box with: "New ftp-url" appears. Without to commit a
change to "Ftpurl.kdelnk" I click on "OK". => a menu with the
preferences of this ftp-url appears => I am selecting "URL" and change
the proposed "ftp://ftp.kde.org/pub/kde" to for instance
ftp://gd.tuwien.ac.at.
Then I am clicking OK.
Now I am clicking on the desktop again => New-Ftp-Url => menu with
preferences appears BUT not with the preferences of the new ftp-url but
with them from the already created !! (look at "URL" there is
"ftp://gd.tuwien.ac.at" and not "ftp://ftp.kde.org/pub/kde")

(the same bug with www-url, device, ...)

KDE should look, if an ftp-url (www-url, device, ...) already exists.

I am using SuSE 6.1 with Kernel 2.3.12 and glibc 2.0.7

richard
