Subject: Bug#1502: Window manager doesn't recognize some window types

Package: KDE
Version: 1.1.1

We have a meeting notification program which I keep iconified for
most of the day. When the time for a meeting approaches, the program
automatically deiconifies itself and presents a dialog to tell me
about the meeting. I can click on the "OK" button to make the
dialog box go away, but I can't reiconify the main application window.

The work around I have is to mouse click on the button on the task bar
which represents the application. Since the application is already
deiconified, this does nothing other than to make KDE realize that
the application is now on the desktop. At this point, I can
iconify the application.

I don't have the source code for the application, and there are
no error messages generated. The application is called Meeting
Maker and can be found at http://www.MeetingMaker6.com/.
I'm running it under Solaris X86 2.7 using precompiled KDE
binaries.

Thanks,
John Croix
