This error seems to corroborate the error in Bug #1193
The error generated is:

Here's the situation. I'm running a remote application used for chip design
made by cadence design systems (usually just referred to as "cadence").  When I
have the mouse in an active (cadence) window and click the middle mouse button a
pop-up menu should appear.  Under kde when I click the middle mouse button the
expected menu flashes very briefly and then the entire window is destroyed

This is probably kde specific since I've tried olvwm, afterstep, and
enlightenment with no problems.

This has happened under kde 1.0 and kde 1.1

I have tried Xfree86 (XF86_3DLabs) and demo version of AcceleratedX.  Bug
occurs in both cases.

I'm using Caldera Openlinux 2.2 kernel 2.2.5
