In the giflib30 library, malloc, free, etc. is defined in <stdlib.h>
on the SGI, which is not included inside <stdio.h>, so <stdlib.h>
must be explicitly included in most of the source files for occurence
instance of <stdio.h>, not just for MSDOS.  These files are:
dev2gif.c, dgif_lib.c, egif_lib.c, getarg.c, gif_hash.c, gifalloc.c,
and quantize.c.
