In debian/rules it should not be
        ../configure --enable-debug --with-install-root=`pwd`/debian/tmp \
                --disable-rpath

but

        ../configure --enable-debug --with-install-root=`pwd`/../debian/tmp \
                --disable-rpath

as the install then proceeds in build/debian/tmp instead of debian/tmp which
builds a broken .deb file.
