Subject: kmail broken in 040799 snapshot

X-Mailer: KMail [version 1.0.17]
Content-Type: text/plain
MIME-Version: 1.0
Message-Id: <99040710471300.17192@localhost.localdomain>
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit
X-KMail-Mark:
Return-Path: <dep@westnet.com>

kdenetwork-990407 compiled and installed normally. however, kmail would
no longer work. when started from the konsole, it rendered this:

[dep@localhost dep]$ kmail
We are starting normaly
Calling deinstallTimer()
generic: KMFolderTree::updateUnreadAll
*** KMail got signal 11
generic: ~KMMainWin()
[dep@localhost dep]$

replacing /opt/kde/bin/kmail with the kmail from kde-1.1 resulted in
kmail that once again worked. but on initial invocation, the old kmail
was greatly reduced in window size, with the message list hidden
entirely and the folder list partially hidden. dragging restored these
to their normal size, and restarting kmail kept the changes.

the system is stock 1.1 with 990407 versions of kdesupport, kdelibs,
and kdeadmin installed. kdebase-990407 was not installed because it
continues to have no apparent means of configuring.
