From kde-bugs-dist Wed Mar 31 03:54:11 1999 From: "Jason A. Crosswhite" Date: Wed, 31 Mar 1999 03:54:11 +0000 To: kde-bugs-dist Subject: Bug#1109: Can crash KDE by using new MATLAB 5.3 plot editor. X-MARC-Message: https://marc.info/?l=kde-bugs-dist&m=92285319818501 Packade: kwm Version: 0.14 patchlevel 1 I am running SuSE 6.0, upgraded to KDE 1.1 via the rpm's at your ftp site. I can crash X at will by using MATLAB 5.3's (www.mathworks.com) new figure editor. I select any object and right click, then click properties. Bam, at the command prompt, every time. I switched to afterstep, and it does not do this, which leads me to believe it is a problem with kwm. I enjoy using KDE, but MATLAB is vital to my research, and I can't really continue using it if it is unstable with MATLAB (which is a _very_ nice program nobody every mentions which runs under Linux. I imagine lots of research people use it, and will find this problem too.) If you need any further information, don't hesitate to contact me. -- -Jason Crosswhite jason@newberry.uoregon.edu http://darkwing.uoregon.edu/~jacrossw Rm 220, Cascade Building University of Oregon
