Package krootwm
Version - from KDE 1.1

When you right click or middle click (for Window list or Desktop menu).
The Desktop Menu appears, resizes itself, disappears, in a loop. It does
this until a left or middle mouse button is pressed. The Window list
appears on the screen, and shrinks to a small line.

The desktop menu is usable if you know the menuitems in it (you don't
get time to read them)

The output to the console (from where X was started) includes 18 lines
of
QGList::locate: Index <number> out of range
where <number> is in the range 0-17. (This error is from when the
desktop menu is being displayed)

krootwm takes 10% CPU and 25% memory (from top) until killed.

Window Maker is 0.51.2, compiled from source on Redhat 5.2 with the
--enable-kde --enable-light options in configure.

KDE is 1.1, using Qt 1.42, egcs 1.x, -O2 -mpentium --fno-exceptions
(CXXFLAGS used for Qt / KDE).

krootwm worked with Window Maker 0.50.2 and 0.50.0, in KDE 1.1 beta
releases (snapshots between entering beta and pre 2)

Xfree86 is started using the following .xinitrc

------------------------------
#!/bin/sh
# WindowMaker Default .xinitrc
xsetroot -solid MidnightBlue
kcontrol -init
(sleep 2 && exec kfm) &
(sleep 12 && exec krootwm ) &
(sleep 10 && exec kpanel ) &
exec wmaker --no-dock --no-clip
